Bayern Munich President: Oliseh and Diaz are not for sale

Bayern Munich CEO Jan Christian Driessen announced that the team’s duo, Frenchman Michael Olise and Colombian Luis Diaz, will not be sold, as they will help the German team win all titles.

Dressen said in a press conference on Tuesday that Oliseh will definitely remain with the team, and that there is no offer for him from Real Madrid.

Speculation increased during the recent World Cup period, with reports confirming that Oliseh wanted to leave, and it seemed clear that he wanted to join his teammates in the French national team, Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Chouamini, in the ranks of the Spanish club.

Bayern officials have said on previous occasions that Oliseh is not for sale, while Dressen said: “Even if there is an offer, which has not happened, we will maintain our position of sticking with the player.”

Oliseh moved to Bayern Munich in 2024, and his contract extends until 2029, without a penalty clause in his contract. He moved for 55 million euros ($63 million) from the English Crystal Palace, while his market value increased more than three times to reach 170 million euros.

Oliseh excelled with Bayern, scoring 32 goals and making 46 goals in 107 matches. He also made 7 goals with the France national team in the World Cup.

As for Diaz, he joined Bayern from Liverpool, and his contract also extends until 2029. He scored 26 goals and made 19 goals in 51 matches.

Dressen remains calm in the face of speculation about the existence of a Saudi offer for the Colombian winger, saying: “We have a great team. Let’s start the season and score goals and see what happens at the end.”

Bayern won the German League and German Cup double last season, and also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, while Dressen hopes, with an achievement similar to what happened in 2013 and 2020, by achieving the treble this season.

Dressen said: “Our ambition is always to win all titles. We cannot believe that we will win the Champions League every year, but we must have ambition.”

Pressure is increasing regarding extending the contract of the brilliant striker Harry Kane, whose four-year contract expires this season, while Bayern strongly desires to renew his contract.

Speaking about Kane, 33, Driessen said: “I think there is a strong desire on both sides, and now we need to make sure that this strong desire reaches a meeting point.”
