A remarkable success for the Canal and Alexandria Region Rowing Championship in Ismailia…and the Canal Club leads the tournament

The activities of the Canal and Alexandria Region Rowing Championships, which were held in the city of Ismailia on Thursday and Friday, corresponding to December 5 and 6, were concluded with the distinguished participation of 170 male and female players representing the clubs of the Canal and Alexandria cities.
< p>Long-established clubs competed in the tournament, including the Canal Sports Rowing Club in Ismailia, Port Tawfiq Rowing Club, and the Egyptian Yacht Rowing Club. In Alexandria, the National Bank Rowing Club in Alexandria, and the Vanguards of the Fleet Rowing Club in Alexandria.
The Canal Sports Rowing Club in Ismailia succeeded in topping the championship, and won the general shield after achieving first place with a score of 184. a point. The Egyptian Yacht Club in Alexandria came in second place with 111 points, while the National Bank Rowing Club in Alexandria came in third place with a total of 54 points.
The tournament witnessed at its conclusion a distinguished honoring ceremony, where Major General Sherif El Gomati, President of the Egyptian Rowing Federation, and Captain Mohamed Salama, Vice President of the Federation, honored the male and female players. Captain Mustafa Abdel-Gawad and Captain Ihab Zarei, members of the Federation’s Board of Directors, also participated in the honor.
The tournament took place in a distinctive sporting atmosphere, reflecting the high competitive spirit between the clubs, and emphasizing development. Notable for rowing in Egypt.
