Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties celebrated the graduation of more than 13,000 male and female graduates from the Saudi Board and Health Academy programs for the year 2024, at the Awal Park Stadium at King Saud University.
The Minister of Health, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Commission, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, confirmed during his speech that the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties has contributed to ensuring the highest quality standards in health education and training, in partnership with the education system.
He said: This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Saudi Board, which was launched in 1994 with four main specialization programs, from which only 36 graduates graduated at the time. Today, the size of the rich health infrastructure has reached more than 170 training programs distributed among 700 accredited training headquarters in the country. Kingdom.
Distinguished health personnel
Al-Jalajel pointed out that these training centers provided the highest levels of qualification to prepare distinguished health cadres who hold various Saudi Board certificates, as they witnessed an increase in the number of seats between 2016 and 2024 by 122%, which reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment to expansion and investment in health cadres, from Through distinguished health education and training.
He pointed out that at the global level, the World Health Organization estimated a shortage of up to 10 million health practitioners by 2030, noting that the Kingdom continues to contribute to bridging the gap in this sector by preparing health personnel with high efficiency and providing a global role model.
He stated that over the past three decades, international graduates from the Saudi Board represented more than 51 nationalities, including 21 nationalities in this ceremony, which reflects the spread and impact of the programs offered at the international level.

The Minister of Health added: As you prepare to start your career, remember that your role is not limited to providing health care only, but extends to making you champions of health.
During his field visits and meetings with health personnel, including board program trainees, he expressed his appreciation for those who have mercy on the young and respect the old.
