“AIM Investment” attracts 20,000 investors and entrepreneurs from 180 countries

The UAE will host the activities of the 14th session of the “AIM Investment Summit” in Abu Dhabi during the period from the seventh to the ninth of April of next year (2025), with the participation of more than 1,100 speakers, while the summit is expected to attract more than 20,000 investors and entrepreneurs from 180 countries. With the aim of attracting more foreign investments to the UAE in various sectors.
The Minister of State for Foreign Trade and Chairman of the AIM Investment Summit, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, said during a press conference held yesterday that the new session of the summit, which is being held under the slogan “The map of the future of global investment and the new direction for spreading investment towards a balanced global system,” focuses on Several axes, most notably supporting global trade, manufacturing, emerging companies, the digital economy, entrepreneurship, and developing ambitious global investment strategies, noting that the holding of the summit and the partnerships that have been concluded strengthen the UAE’s position as a global platform for investment.
He added that the previous session of the summit witnessed several successes, including the presence of more than 12,000 participants from 170 countries, along with a large number of officials and ministers, while the next country will witness more participants.
Al-Zeyoudi explained that this trend was reflected in consolidating the UAE’s position as one of the most important destinations attracting global investment and achieving record numbers in attracting foreign direct investment, as the total foreign direct investment flows to the UAE amounted to 112.6 billion dirhams during the past year, with a growth of 35% thanks to the trends of the economy based on Economic diversification.
For his part, the President of the International AIM Foundation and Chairman of the Summit Organizing Committee, Daoud Al-Shezawi, said that the importance of the Summit lies in attracting quality investments to the UAE and building quality economic companies with many countries and international institutions.
He added that the summit is expected to attract in its next session more than 20,000 participants from 174 countries, and 1,100 speakers, pointing out that more than 23 special events to attract investments are being organized on the sidelines of the summit.
Al-Shezawi stated that the main goal of the summit is to attract more foreign investments to the country and to study basic solutions to attract more investors, through main axes, which are supporting foreign direct investment, entrepreneurship and emerging companies, as well as supporting smart cities and the digital economy and supporting industry and global trade. Pointing out that the UAE is focusing during the upcoming summit on attracting investments from new countries, the countries of the East and Latin America in particular.
He stated that a large exhibition will be organized to accompany the summit for the first time, and a number of memorandums of understanding will be signed, and several investment funds will be launched, in partnership with a number of official bodies inside and outside the country.
Yesterday, 13 partnership agreements were signed with local and international bodies from the public and private sectors to support the upcoming summit.
