المملكة: Jazan.. 3 violators were arrested for smuggling 180 kilograms of the narcotic qat

The border guards’ ground patrols in the Al-Arda sector in the Jazan region arrested (3) violators of the border security system of Ethiopian nationality, for smuggling (180) kilograms of the khat plant. The initial legal procedures were completed against them, and they and the seized items were handed over to the competent authority.
The patrols of the General Administration of the Mujahideen in Jeddah Governorate arrested (3) residents of Egyptian nationality for promoting narcotic hashish. They were arrested, legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authority.

The border guards’ ground patrols in the Al-Da’ir sector in the Jazan region also arrested (34) violators of the border security system of Ethiopian nationality, for smuggling (510) kilograms of the khat plant. The initial regulatory procedures were completed against them, and they and the seized items were handed over to the competent authority.

Environmental violations

The Environmental Security Special Forces arrested a resident of Nepalese nationality who had violated the environmental regulations, for polluting the environment and damaging the soil by emptying concrete materials in the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve. Legal procedures were applied against him and he was referred to the competent authorities. The forces explained that the penalty for engaging in an activity or act that directly or indirectly leads to harming or polluting the soil or negatively affecting its use or destroying its natural properties is a fine of up to (10) million riyals.
The Special Forces for Environmental Security also arrested (4) residents of Yemeni and Egyptian nationalities violating the environmental regulations, in possession of two cubic meters of local firewood used in commercial activities in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. Regular procedures were applied against them, and the seized quantities were handed over to the competent authorities. The forces explained that the penalty for using firewood is Local coal in commercial activities is subject to a fine of up to (32,000) riyals per cubic meter, and the penalty for transporting, selling and storing firewood and local coal is a fine of up to To (16,000) riyals per cubic meter.
