This came during a meeting with His Highness the President of the State, his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, who arrived in the capital, Abu Dhabi, yesterday, on a fraternal visit to the UAE, within the framework of mutual keenness to continue fraternal consultation on various issues of common concern, especially in light of the current situation. through which the region passes.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the strength of the deep-rooted historical relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and their keenness to expand opportunities for bilateral cooperation in all fields.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Abdullah II also reviewed developments in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, and in this context, they affirmed the two countries’ firm position towards Syria’s unity and stability, its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the preservation of its national institutions, in addition to supporting everything that achieves the aspirations of Syria. Its brotherly people, stressing that the stability of Syria is an Arab strategic interest and for the region in general.

His Highness the President and His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein stressed the need to intensify work in order to strengthen the causes of regional stability and prevent the expansion of conflict in the region.
