As for the resolution relating to UNRWA, it was adopted with the support of 159 members, 9 against and 11 abstentions. The General Assembly affirms in its resolution its full support for the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in all Its fields of work are Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
The General Assembly denounces the legislation adopted by the Israeli Knesset on October 28, 2024, and calls on the Israeli government to abide by its international obligations and respect the privileges and immunities of the Agency. Fulfilling its responsibility to allow the rapid, complete, safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance in all its forms to the Gaza Strip, as a whole and in all parts of the country. The General Assembly affirms the necessity of continuing the work of the Agency, and emphasizes that it continues to play an indispensable role in alleviating the plight of more than six million Palestinian refugees registered with the Agency, and in Achieving an indispensable degree of stability in the region.
