Saud bin Saqr witnesses a ceremony "Nordic Lights" For Finnish music in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah, December 13 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, witnessed the “Nordic Lights: Evening of Finnish Music” concert, which was held under the patronage of His Highness and organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Finland to the country, at the Ras Al Khaimah Center. His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi stressed that learning about people’s cultures contributes to enhancing cultural communication, understanding and mutual respect, deepens relationships, establishes a culture of innovation and creativity, and constitutes an essential part of the development of man and society.
His Highness praised the performance of the artists participating in the ceremony, led by the international Finnish duo, cellist Jussi Makkonen and pianist Nazik Azizian, accompanied by members of the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Riad Qudsi.
This musical evening, which was attended by a number of officials, prominent figures and community members, embodies Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to hosting artistic events that promote global cultural dialogue and also highlighted the nobility of Finnish culture and its rich musical heritage, which reflects its creative identity.
The ceremony included the first performance of the musical piece “Nordic Adagio” composed by Tuomas Kantilinen, in addition to unique works by the famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, which gave the evening an exceptional artistic character.
