Sisi: We are keen to develop relations with Indonesia to the level of a strategic partnership

 President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed that relations with the State of Indonesia are characterized by stability, mutual respect and cooperation, noting that the discussions with Indonesian President Joko Widodo witnessed keenness to develop relations in the fields to the level of a full strategic partnership, whether in the political or economic fields. Or commercial, military, or cultural.

President Sisi said – during a joint press conference with his Indonesian counterpart, at the Federal Palace, following the talks between them today, Wednesday – “We are honored that Egypt was the first A country that recognizes Indonesia and establishes diplomatic relations with it, and from that time until now relations between the two countries have been characterized by stability, mutual respect and cooperation,” highlighting a period during which there was cooperation at the world level between President Gamal Abdel Nasser and President Sukarno and among other countries with regard to non-alignment.

 

President Sisi explained that the discussions with his Indonesian counterpart witnessed an agreement that the high-level joint committee would be under the joint supervision of the leadership of the two countries, and that There will be mutual visits between the two countries to follow up on developments and files that will be cooperated on between them.
