The rise of the technology sector.. The European Stock Exchange closes higher
European stock indices closed higher at the end of Wednesday’s trading, supported by the rise in technology sector stocks.
The European market ended trading 0.2 percent higher, ending a four-day losing streak, with technology sector stocks rising 1.1 percent.

Shares of French automaker Renault increased by 5.2 percent, leading gains.
The British Financial Times 100 Index was stable at the close, and Swedish SBB shares increased 22.1 percent after the real estate group completed a bond exchange offer.

European stocks
German Commerzbank shares rose 1.4 percent after Italian UniCredit Bank announced an increase in its potential stake in the German bank to 28 percent. UniCredit shares increased 1.3 percent at the close.
The shares of the Spanish renewable energy company Greenergy also rose 20 percent after the company agreed to sell a portfolio of assets in Chile to Counter Global for an institutional value of $962 million.
