Madbouly: Presidential directives to upgrade the airport system and improve the level of services provided to travelers
Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly confirmed today, Sunday, that the work to develop Egyptian airports comes within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which includes the comprehensive vision for developing the aviation sector to achieve the advancement of the Egyptian airport system, raise its capacity, and improve the level of services provided to travelers in an effort to achieve the state’s goals in Regarding increasing the number of tourists to 30 million tourists.
This came during the meeting held by Dr. Madbouly today at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to follow up on the executive position. New Republic Air Gate “Terminal 4 at Cairo International Airport” In the presence of Dr. Sameh Al-Hafni, Minister of Civil Aviation.
For his part, Dr. Sameh Al-Hafni reviewed the objectives of the New Republic Air Gate specifications, which include establishing a passenger terminal with a capacity of no less than 30 million passengers/year, which can be increased by 10 million. Additional, a new landing and take-off runway equipped with the latest navigation and ground lighting systems that keep pace with developments in this field, and large-capacity parking lots completely covered with solar panels and connected to them. With a road network with smooth and fast entrances, and support and operation buildings designed in accordance with international standards.
The Minister of Civil Aviation discussed the classification of the New Republic air gate compared to international airports, the stages of project implementation, and the procedural mechanisms targeted for its implementation… pointing to the negotiation with companies specialized in Implementing and operating international airports…explaining that the project may take between 4 to 5 years.
