"Dubai Ports and Customs" Launch an initiative "Integrated inspection"

Dubai, December 23 / WAM / The Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation announced the launch of the “Integrated Inspection” initiative, which represents an innovative qualitative shift aimed at redesigning the system of customs inspection operations. The initiative was officially launched at the headquarters of Aramex’s warehouses, and it contributes to Reducing the time to complete customs procedures by more than 50%, which enhances operational efficiency and accelerates supply chain operations.
Members of the companies benefiting from the initiative praised its positive impact in enhancing the efficiency of supply chain management, accelerating logistics operations, and improving operational performance, which serves to raise the level of customer satisfaction and attract more new foreign investments, in addition to improving the performance indicators of companies.
His Excellency Sultan bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, said that the “Integrated Inspection” initiative embodies the firm commitment to developing integrated and highly efficient customs operations, which contributes to enhancing the business environment in Dubai and consolidating its position as one of the most prominent global centers in the fields of trade and logistics services, stressing the endeavor. To provide an advanced model based on innovation and flexibility in customs services, which raises the emirate’s competitiveness and enhances its ability to anticipate the future and achieve sustainable development that meets the aspirations of future generations.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Busnad, Director General of Dubai Customs, confirmed that this initiative supports the business environment in Dubai, and contributes, through the excellence of government services, to strengthening the emirate’s position in global competitiveness indicators, and achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, by facilitating trade, achieving logistical efficiency, and attracting investments. The initiative was officially launched during the visit of His Excellency the Director General of Dubai Customs to the headquarters of Aramex’s warehouses, to observe the progress of customs inspection operations at the company’s warehouse headquarters through the “Integrated Inspection” initiative, and to learn on the ground about the impact of the service on the flow of operations and the extent of customers’ satisfaction with it.
The “Integrated Inspection” initiative provides two options for companies to meet their different needs. The first is “full on-site inspection,” where customs inspection officers are permanently present to provide continuous support to companies that need regular inspection services. The second option is “on-demand inspection,” which It allows inspection officers to go to company sites as needed, providing flexibility for larger companies.
