France.. The Eiffel Tower was evacuated due to an electrical short

The Eiffel Tower was temporarily evacuated on Tuesday after an electrical short occurred in the famous Parisian landmark.
A fire alarm was activated in the morning due to an electrical short in an elevator shaft, according to the French channel BFMTV.
The problem occurred between the second floor and the top of the Eiffel Tower, and the accident did not endanger visitors.

The world landmark was scheduled to reopen later in the day, but only up to the second floor, Le Parisien newspaper reported.
It is still not clear yet what causes electrical short circuits.
