38 competitors from 25 nationalities took part in the camel trekking marathon at the Labsa track

Umm Al Quwain, December 26 / WAM / The Events Department at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival participated in the 14th edition of the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Festival for Purebred Arabian Camel Racing and Camel Show “Al-Libasa 2024 – 2025”, by organizing two halves of a trip marathon. Camels on the Al Labsa track in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain.

The race extended for two kilometers, and was divided into two categories, men’s and women’s, with the participation of 38 competitors from 25 nationalities, who had previously participated in several marathons organized periodically by the center.

In the women’s category, the Chinese “Alexis Hu” won on the mount “Dubai Transit” with a time of 3:24:46 minutes, while the British “Alexander Osterwald” won first place in the men’s category on the mount “Hamrun” with a time of 3:47:39 minutes. .

The coronation ceremony was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Camel Racing Federation and Acting Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, in the presence of Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, and Rashid Hareb Al-Khasouni, Director of the Fazza Championships Department.

Bin Dalmouk stressed that the Center’s participation in the festival carries great meaning and a strategic vision that translates the Center’s goals in preserving and enhancing the authentic Emirati heritage.
