The Official Gazette of Umm Al-Qura published the salary scale for engineering jobs, which was approved by the Council of Ministers and begins effective on December 31, 2024.
The decision stipulates that engineers are classified into 4 categories: “Engineer, Associate Engineer, Professional Engineer, and Consultant Engineer,” with salaries commensurate with each category and its experience, in accordance with the system for practicing engineering professions and professional accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Salary scale for engineering jobs

The new salary scale targets employees of government agencies who hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the engineering specializations from Saudi or recognized universities, and who are registered in the unified Saudi classification of professions.
The decision aims to advance the career path of engineers and motivate them for continuous professional development, which will reflect positively on the quality of engineering projects in the Kingdom and contribute to achieving Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that the new salary scale includes a number of benefits for engineers, including increasing basic salaries and providing attractive allowances and incentives.
