As part of his official visit to Gabon, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, yesterday evening, at the activities of the Egyptian-Gabonese Business Forum, which was held in the capital, Libreville, with the participation of Mr. “Olegi Enjima” The President of Gabon and seven ministers of the Gabonese government are the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Public Works, Energy and Water Resources, Health, Economy, Digital Economy, and Transport. He also stressed Egypt’s readiness to engage in the Gabonese market, support comprehensive development plans, and provide its expertise in various fields, Especially in the fields of infrastructure, energy, construction, construction, medicine and agriculture, which contribute to achieving sustainable development.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed to the pivotal role played by public and private sector companies in supporting development on the African continent, noting the volume of Egyptian investments. On the African continent, which exceeded $14 billion, highlighting the good reputation that Egyptian companies enjoy it for completing projects in record times and at competitive prices.
The forum witnessed extensive discussions between Gabonese ministers and investors, businessmen and representatives of Egyptian companies about strengthening economic and investment partnerships between the two countries, where the Egyptian delegation presented proposals about development projects that It can be implemented in cooperation with the Gabonese side, especially in the areas of road construction, port development, and renewable energy. The importance of enhancing cooperation in the agricultural sector to achieve food security and exchanging experiences in the fields of technology and manufacturing was also discussed.
