An earthquake measuring 5.6 Richter strikes the island of Luzon in the Philippines.. No news of casualties
A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Philippine island of Luzon, early Monday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said that the earthquake occurred at a depth of ten kilometers, and shook the northern town of Bangui in Ilocos Province.
There were no immediate reports of human casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
