< p>The Minister of the Environment also indicated the possibility of cooperation in implementing a joint project linking desertification to climate change and biodiversity as one of the common vital challenges, so that adaptation includes the field of land reclamation and the preservation of natural resources as part of the Convention on Biological Diversity, especially within the framework of the recent decisions of the United Nations Conference. for desertification, which was held early this month, and explicitly urged a link between desertification issues, climate change, and biodiversity.
The Minister of Environment also pointed out the possibility of benefiting from the Egyptian experience in the new and renewable energy file, as the countries of Egypt and Morocco are among the largest African countries that have achieved progress in the climate change file, especially in new and renewable energy, pointing to the ambitious Egyptian plan as part of efforts to confront the effects of climate change. Reaching 42% new and renewable energy in the energy mix by 2030, the role of the Egyptian private sector in designing and establishing solar and wind energy plants, and the possibility of enhancing joint cooperation between the private sectors in the two countries in this regard.
