The CEO of the Saudi Geological Survey, Engineer Abdullah Al-Shamrani, launched the “Ambition” and “Jadir” programs, in the presence of a number of the authority’s leaders and employees, with the aim of enhancing capacity building and raising the quality of national competencies specialized in the fields of earth sciences.

Objectives of the two programmes

The “Ambition” program is in line with the objectives of the Human Capacity Development Program within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as it aims to send the Authority’s employees to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees from the most prestigious international universities and institutes in various fields of earth sciences.
The program will last for two years, starting from January 2025 until December 2026, under the supervision of the Authority’s Academy, with the aim of achieving the mining strategy and enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness in this field globally.

As for the “Jadeer” program, in its first edition for the year 2025, it aims to develop the specialized capabilities of the Authority’s employees by preparing specialists in the fields of earth sciences and supporting fields.
The program launches with a specialized training phase on “Medical Geology Maps,” which extends over a period of five months.

Stages of the educational journey

The educational trip includes three stages: the first stage in Riyadh for three weeks, followed by the second stage in Tunisia for a similar period, and the third stage concludes in Nottingham in the United Kingdom for six weeks, including practical training at the Authority’s headquarters.

This launch reflects the Authority’s commitment to supporting the development of national competencies, which enhances the Kingdom’s role as a leading global center in earth sciences and mining strategies.
