المملكة: The Food and Drug Administration warns against Stein water for exceeding the maximum permissible limits of bromate.

The Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) warned against consuming “Stein” water produced by Najd Springs Manufacturing Company in Zulfi Governorate, in all its sizes, batch numbers and expiration dates, because it exceeds the maximum permissible limits of bromate. The Food and Drug Administration explained that it had drawn samples of Stein drinking water to verify its conformity with Saudi Gulf Technical Regulation No. 1025 regarding bottled drinking water with regard to the concentration of bromate, as the regulation specified the maximum permissible percentage of bromate at (10 parts). per billion), and the results of laboratory analyzes of samples showed that these limits were exceeded, which may pose a threat to public health. The authority recommended that consumers avoid using these products and dispose of them immediately, noting that it had taken the necessary measures to oblige the factory to withdraw the products from the local market and stop its production lines. The authority stressed that it will not tolerate any violation that may affect the health of citizens and residents, stressing that it will continue to monitor drinking water factories, monitor products traded in the local market, and take legal measures against violating factories to ensure the quality and safety of the products.
