Gaza Civil Defense spokesman: The reality in the Gaza Strip is difficult and tragic

Major Mahmoud Basal, spokesman for the Palestinian Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip, confirmed that the reality in the Gaza Strip is difficult and tragic in light of the repeated targeting and bombings against citizens and homes in the Strip, which leads to a huge number of martyrs, injured and wounded, and many citizens under the rubble. They cannot be recovered.
Major Basal said – in an intervention to the Cairo News Channel – “It was the last of those Israeli attacks yesterday, as 5 homes were targeted at the same time, and about 10 people remained under the rubble of homes, adding to those under the rubble, and work cannot be done to recover them unless heavy equipment is available, which was completely destroyed by the occupation forces.
p>He added that the civil defense system now does not have heavy equipment and does not have the capabilities through which it can work on recovery operations or even rescue operations, pointing to the death of 94 and the injury of more than 300 civil defense cadres and workers, and the occupation army arrested 26 people, so how does the system work when the human cadre is few and the capabilities are also few?.
He pointed out that civil defense crews cannot work and perform their duties on more than one target at the same time. Time is due to the small number of our workers and the lack of capabilities, noting the danger of the presence of bodies under the rubble and rubble, which the civil defense agencies cannot recover.
He explained. Since the beginning of the war, there have been bodies that have not been extracted from under the rubble for more than a year until now, and those bodies that have decomposed under the rubble have caused serious environmental disasters and diseases, as humanitarian and health organizations have observed that those bodies decomposing under the rubble lead to environmental disasters, so the situation is in reality. Disastrous.
