The Foreign Minister affirms Egypt’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdel-Ati, affirmed Egypt’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, independence, and territorial integrity within the framework of the principles of international law, and in a way that achieves security and stability for brotherly Somalia.
This came during a phone call. The Minister of Foreign Affairs conducted it, today, Sunday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Ahmed Moalim Faki, to follow up on the visit of the Somali Foreign Minister to Cairo on December 23, 2024.. During the call, the overall bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed Egypt’s full support for the efforts of the Somali federal government to combat terrorism and restore peace in all parts of the country, in a way that contributes to enhancing the security and stability of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty was keen to express Egypt’s support for the role of national institutions in Somalia, and its readiness to provide all necessary technical assistance to enable it to carry out its role in achieving the aspirations of the Somali people. Brother.
