Russian Kursk War
Military bloggers and local media published photos of armored vehicles that they said were moving near Sudja towards Bolshoye Soldtskoye in the Kursk region.
Some bloggers, including the Rebar channel on Telegram, which has 1.3 million subscribers, warned that the new operation may be a camouflage maneuver.
Russia repels the Ukrainian attack
The Russian Ministry of Defense said in an update on Sunday that its forces repelled the Ukrainian attack.
Ukrainian military officials did not specifically confirm the operation, but Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, said Russia was “getting what it deserves.”
The Ukrainian government announced earlier that Ukrainian forces had begun a new attack in the Kursk region in western Russia, following their sudden incursion into the region last summer.
