Two agreements to support scholarship students and facilitate the accreditation of higher education institutions in Dubai

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research signed two strategic cooperation agreements with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, in a step that is consistent in content and objectives with the UAE’s commitment to providing the best administrative and academic services to students on scholarship outside the country, following up and organizing their affairs, enhancing the quality of the higher education sector and developing its system, in line with Global transformations, and supports the needs of society and the labor market.

The signing ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, the Director General of the Authority, Aisha Abdullah Miran, and senior officials from the two institutions.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, in a press statement yesterday, stressed the importance of cooperation with local authorities concerned with achieving the state’s vision of building a modern, knowledge-based society, pointing out that the extended partnership between the Ministry and the Authority aims to provide the best services to students on scholarship outside the country, and to build an attractive environment that attracts major… State educational institutions, in a way that enhances the quality of the outcomes of the educational process.

He pointed out that this cooperation comes within the framework of a comprehensive and integrated development process led by the Ministry, with the aim of improving the higher education sector in the country and enhancing its global competitiveness.

For her part, Aisha Abdullah Miran stressed that this partnership embodies a unified vision that aims to continue improving the higher education system and ensuring its sustainability, in a way that reflects the aspirations of the wise leadership towards investing in people to achieve real and sustainable development.

She stressed the authority’s commitment to working side by side with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to provide the necessary support to students on scholarship within the Hamdan bin Mohammed Academic Scholarship Program, and to care for and empower them, by providing an incubating and supportive environment for them during the scholarship period, in addition to enhancing cooperation and joint coordination regarding licensing and accreditation. The first agreement aims to enhance joint coordination regarding administrative and academic services for students on scholarship outside the country, within the Hamdan bin Mohammed Academic Scholarship Program, and to follow up and organize their affairs, while the second agreement revolves around strengthening and developing frameworks for cooperation and joint coordination regarding licensing and accrediting higher education institutions in the Emirate of Dubai, including It contributes to facilitating procedures, attracting more prestigious institutions, and ensuring the quality of their outputs.
