The second phase of the Prince of Poets program begins the day after tomorrow

ABU DHABI, 7th JANUARY / WAM / The second phase of the eleventh season of the Prince of Poets program, produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, will begin tomorrow, within the framework of its strategy aimed at nurturing, enhancing and documenting poetry of all kinds, paying attention to it, preserving it, and promoting it through various available means.

The sixth live episode of the program, and the first in the second phase, will be broadcast at nine in the evening from Al Raha Beach Theater in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of poets Jibril Adam Jibril from Chad, Hussein Ali Al Ammar from Saudi Arabia, Yazan Issa from Syria, Al-Mukhtar Abdullah Salahi from Mauritania, and Ola Khadaro from Lebanon, who will recite their poems before the judging committee consisting of Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Dr. Wahab Roumieh, and Dr. Muhammad Hajo.

The sixth episode will also witness the completion of the contract for the finalists to the second stage, with the announcement of the results of the public vote from the last episode to determine the finalist, including poets Siri Alloush from Egypt and Fares Saleh from Palestine.

The first stage of the program, which concluded last Thursday, resulted in the qualification of 14 contestants so far from 12 countries, including 11 poets and 3 poets, awaiting the result of the voting to find out the last qualifiers.

The poets who qualified for the second stage are Jibril Adam Jibril from Chad, Hussein Ali Al Ammar from Saudi Arabia, Yazan Issa from Syria, Al-Mukhtar Abdullah Salahi from Mauritania, Ola Khadaro from Lebanon, Abdul Rahman Al-Humairi from the Emirates, Najwa Obaidat from Algeria, and Muhammad Ziad Shoudab from Syria. Abdul Wahed Imran from Yemen, Muhammad Idris from Iraq, and Othman Al-Hishu Qarabshi from Morocco, Abdul Salam Saeed Abu Hajar from Libya, Imad Ahmed Abu Ahmed from Germany, and Asma Al Hammadi from the Emirates.
