The issue of hush money
Trump resorted to the Supreme Court on Wednesday after the courts in New York refused to postpone the ruling by Judge Juan Merchan in Manhattan.
Merchan presided over Trump’s trial and conviction last May on 34 criminal counts of falsifying business records in what prosecutors described as an attempt to cover up the payment of $130,000 in hush money to an actress. Trump denies any wrongdoing.
