المملكة: They seized 2.8 million riyals.. Scammers of fake gold bullion were arrested in Mecca

The Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region Police arrested 10 residents of Pakistani nationality for committing 31 incidents of financial fraud by having gold bullion in their possession and deceiving their victims by selling it to them in illegal ways, obtaining sums of money from them amounting to more than (2.8) million riyals, and handing them coins similar to gold.
They were found in possession of intact samples to gain the trust of the victims and hide from sight, as well as counterfeit gold and tools for minting bullion. They were arrested, legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution.

Jeddah Islamic Port

The General Directorate of Narcotics Control had previously thwarted an attempt to smuggle (1,950,000) amphetamine tablets hidden in a shipment of furniture at the Jeddah Islamic Port, in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, and arrested its owner in Jeddah Governorate, an expatriate of Syrian nationality.
It called on the security authorities to report all available information to citizens and residents about any activities related to drug smuggling or drug promotion.
This is done by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiyah, and (999) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, and the General Directorate of Drug Control reports number (995), and via email.
