The Jordanian King warns of the danger of continuing Israeli attacks on holy sites in Jerusalem

The Jordanian King, King Abdullah II, warned of the danger of continuing Israeli attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
This came during the Jordanian King’s reception at Al-Husseiniya Palace, today, Sunday, the Secretary of State of the Vatican. Cardinal Pietro Parolin; The meeting, which was attended by Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed, the King’s chief advisor for religious and cultural affairs and his personal envoy, touched on the strong relations between Jordan and the Vatican.
Cardinal Parolin – according to the Royal Court’s statement today – expressed his thanks to the King. For its support and care for the Christian presence in Jordan.
The meeting stressed the necessity of stopping the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and strengthening the humanitarian response. The King appreciated the position of His Holiness the Pope in support of ending the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip.
The meeting was attended by: Director of the King’s Office, Engineer Alaa Al-Batayneh, His Beatitude the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and the delegation accompanying Cardinal Parolin.
Cardinal Parolin had attended the inauguration of the Church of the Baptism of Christ for Latins in the Baptism, the day before yesterday, Friday. It was built on a plot of land that the King directed to allocate for this purpose
