Approval of 3 categories to participate in the Arab Taekwondo Championship in Fujairah
Fujairah, January 14 / WAM / The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Arab Taekwondo Championship, in its fifth edition, announced that the tournament’s activities will start from February 5 to 7, in addition to the approval of three competitive categories for adults, youth and juniors.
The committee confirmed that next February 8 will witness the closing of the final registration processes for the 12th Fujairah International Two-Star Championship, the meeting of the referees and the technical committee, in addition to the meeting of the executive office of the Arab Federation.
The two tournaments will be held at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Honorary President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, in cooperation with the Fujairah Martial Arts Club.
Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club and Director of the Fujairah International Championship, confirmed that the activities of the Fujairah Championship competitions will begin next February 9 with the opening ceremony and then the women’s category competitions, while the men’s category competitions will be held the next day, leading to the youth and junior categories under 14 years old on two days. Next February 11 and 12, then the Al-Baraem U-11 competitions will be held on the closing day scheduled for the 13th of the same month.
He explained that the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Fujairah International Championship, headed by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi, is keen to provide all the requirements supporting the success of the two events, to enhance the position of the Emirate of Fujairah in hosting and organizing international sporting events.
