Nahyan bin Mubarak approves a plan to develop a program "Knights of tolerance"
ABU DHABI, 14 JANUARY / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, approved a comprehensive plan to develop the “Knights of Tolerance” program, to suit the goals set by the Ministry for the next stage.
The plan included developing the cognitive content and areas of work of the program, and producing versions designated for families, people of determination, women, children, and residents, especially the workers category. The plan also included launching the Tolerance Leaders Program as a third phase of the program for all those who passed the Knights of Tolerance program in the previous phase.
His Excellency demanded that there be effectiveness and tangible results of the program on the ground, through the participation of its graduates in community, humanitarian and development activities and programs, as part of a comprehensive development of all programs and initiatives of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, which included 19 major projects and initiatives covering all areas of the Ministry’s work.
He said that the development process is a continuous state, consistent with the goals and objectives of the Ministry, which is inspired by the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” who always emphasizes the importance of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and human brotherhood for the development and progress of societies and countries, through which it is possible For humanity to live in a better world, indicating that the Ministry is making every effort to enhance the values and capabilities of the Emirati experience in tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood so that it becomes a unique global model in this field.
Regarding the “Knights of Tolerance” program, His Excellency stressed that the past months witnessed serious discussions, a comprehensive review, and development of the cognitive content of the Knights of Tolerance program and its teaching methods, carried out by a group of Emirati and international experts, delegated by the Ministry for this purpose, and they came up with a clear vision about the required development process.
He stressed that the development will include organizing the work in tolerance clubs and committees, whether in universities or governmental and private institutions, which include everyone who graduated from the previous Knights of Tolerance program courses, including developing the plans, programs and activities of these clubs and providing the necessary support to them, so that they will be an effective arm for achieving the objectives of the Ministry. Tolerance and coexistence in these institutions and universities, where all their members are trained through the developed version of the Knights of Tolerance to enhance their capabilities and activate their potential.
His Excellency added that the third phase of the “Knights of Tolerance” program, which was called the “Tolerance Leaders Phase,” has been prepared, as training of the first group of these leaders will begin during the first quarter of 2025, so that they will be able, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, to propose and define projects. The process that the Knights of Tolerance can undertake to serve society and humanity, preparing an appropriate work schedule for the annual gathering of the Knights organized annually by the Ministry, following up on the implementation of its recommendations, and activating the role of the Knights of Tolerance and tolerance leaders in the Ministry’s activities and initiatives, Such as their role in organizing annual tolerance festivals, and others
He stressed that the comprehensive plan for the “Knights of Tolerance” program comes in response to the growing needs in society in all its institutions, and in line with global developments in the fields of coexistence and human brotherhood, pointing out that the new updates will include improving the cognitive and training content of the program to cover more comprehensive topics, with a focus on a number of axes. The mission, at the forefront of which is the family, as the program works to enhance the role of the family as a basic nucleus for spreading the values of tolerance and understanding, through training programs directed to all its members. “Fursan” will also focus on… Tolerance” on women and working to empower them as leaders of tolerance in various fields, by supporting their effective participation in community and awareness-raising activities.
He explained that working with residents of the Emirates was not absent from the development of Knights of Tolerance, as the program will organize training courses and launch initiatives aimed at supporting the values of peaceful coexistence and promoting cultural understanding, in addition to designing special programs to support employment in the country, and encourage a work environment that enhances the values. Human brotherhood and mutual respect, indicating that the program will also be launched to people of determination, through cooperation with their sponsoring institutions to provide training tools that suit their condition and enable them to participate effectively in community initiatives.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak stressed the great keenness for artificial intelligence to be a partner in development by integrating artificial intelligence techniques into the program to provide the best content and maximize outputs, indicating that artificial intelligence will be used to analyze the needs of different environments and provide innovative solutions that suit the challenges they face. It will also be Use it to design smart training content that can be customized according to different age and social groups, which contributes to reaching the widest possible segment of the audience.
His Excellency stated that the “Tolerance Leaders” program will include advanced workshops and specialized training courses in community leadership that adopt the values of tolerance and coexistence as an approach and method, in addition to providing the necessary support for participants to develop and implement community projects that serve the local environment.
He explained that the goal is to prepare a new generation of qualified leaders to spread the values of tolerance in various fields, pointing out that the development plan includes expanding partnerships with governmental and private institutions, civil society organizations, and universities, to achieve the goals of the Knights of Tolerance program in its new guise, as it includes cooperation with these entities. Contributing to the implementation of innovative initiatives that meet community needs and support peaceful coexistence.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak stressed that the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence will continue to work to promote the values of tolerance as a basic pillar for the renaissance of the nation and the world, and called on all members of society to actively participate in these programs and initiatives to achieve the desired goals.
