The Syrian Foreign Minister will visit Türkiye tomorrow

The Foreign Minister of the new Syrian administration, Asaad Al-Shaibani, will make his first official visit to Türkiye tomorrow, Wednesday, since a coalition of armed factions came to power in Damascus.
Minister Al-Shaibani wrote in a post on the X platform, “We will represent the new Syria tomorrow in the first official visit to the Republic of Turkey, which has not abandoned the Syrian people for 14 years.”
Turkey has been a major supporter of factions in the Syrian opposition since the conflict in Syria began in 2011. It was one of the first countries to send its Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to Damascus and to open its embassy after the fall of Assad.
Türkiye shelters about 3 million Syrians who fled their country at the beginning of the conflict, and the fall of Assad revived hope for their return.
The Director General of the General Corporation for Electricity Transmission and Distribution in Syria, Khaled Abu Dey, announced last week that two electricity generation ships from Turkey and Qatar will arrive in the country to raise the feed rate, the day after Washington announced the easing of some sanctions.
Türkiye announced last month that a delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Energy visited Syria.
