Days after assuming office, Trump participates in the Davos Forum via video
During his first term, Trump personally attended this forum that annually brings together political and economic elites in this Swiss resort.
Trump delivers a speech at the conference
World Economic Forum President Borg Brende said during the presentation of the 2025 edition that Trump will deliver an intervention at the conference on Thursday afternoon, January 23.
Until now, there have been doubts about the possibility of Trump participating in this forum, which he has attended twice in the past, or even about the participation of billionaire Elon Musk.
Regarding the latter, Brindi said: “We don’t know if he will come this year, but of course he will be welcome with Donald Trump when he comes, and we hope he will be in person at our next annual meeting.”
Collaboration in the smart age
Participating in the forum, which lasts from Monday, January 20, to Friday, the 24, are Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who will deliver a speech on Tuesday, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Deng Xuexiang, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, in addition to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
The theme of this year’s forum will be “Cooperation in the Smart Age,” and more than 60 heads of state and government will participate, according to organizers.
