DUBAI, 15 JANUARY / WAM / His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, confirmed that the Dubai International Project Management Forum, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary, has strengthened its position as a global platform that brings together experts and specialists to exchange experiences on project management. different.

His Excellency said, in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the forum has attracted more than 18,000 participants since its launch, including 3,600 people in the current edition, with participants from outside the country constituting about 45%, which reflects its international importance, indicating that the forum focuses On two main axes: The first is to promote sustainable benefits from iconic projects, whether at the governmental or global level, and the second is to promote changing project management methods, as methods of managing them differ depending on their nature, whether they are projects in the fields of energy, infrastructure, urban, or industrial.

His Excellency added: We are working in coordination with our main partners, such as Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Emaar, DP World, and the Projects Institute, to showcase their iconic projects within the forum’s activities, in addition to enhancing the exchange of experiences between participants who have the opportunity to conduct field visits to major projects in Dubai, which It contributes to informing them of best practices and their practical applications.

His Excellency Al Tayer stressed that the rapid development in the fields of project management, including construction techniques and implementation methods, requires platforms such as this forum to exchange knowledge and experiences. He said: The forum represents an opportunity to discuss the latest innovations and trends in project management, with a focus on implementing projects with the highest efficiency and lowest cost.

In the current version, the pedestrian project was presented, which consists of linking the Dubai International Financial Center to the Museum of the Future, which completely separated traffic from pedestrian traffic, and is a unique model of its kind in urban planning in the emirate.

His Excellency Al Tayer pointed out that the Forum continues to present distinguished projects every year, while hosting specialized workshops and lectures from international experts, highlighting project management methods and developments.
