المملكة: It causes confusion.. “Meteorology” warns of “climate information chaos”

The official spokesman for the National Center of Meteorology, Hussein Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the center’s climate records represent the approved and main reference for the weather and climate of the Kingdom throughout its history, noting that the center has a climate legacy that extends for more than 73 years.
Al-Qahtani warned against circulating climate information that is not based on approved official references, stressing that these practices aim primarily for media appearances only, and contribute to spreading false information that may affect the public’s awareness and cause unjustified confusion.

He called on everyone to rely on the National Center of Meteorology as a reliable source of climate data, stressing the importance of ensuring accuracy and not being led by any misleading climate information circulated through the media or social media platforms.

Al-Qahtani explained that the National Center of Meteorology always seeks to provide accurate and comprehensive information about weather and climate in the Kingdom, with the aim of serving citizens and residents and contributing to the protection of lives and property.

In its weather report today, Thursday, the National Center of Meteorology expected partly cloudy to cloudy skies across the Kingdom.
This came with the chance of light rain falling on parts of the Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha regions, extending to parts of the highlands of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region.
It is also not ruled out that fog will form during the night and early morning hours in parts of those areas, as well as in parts of the eastern region.
