Ayman Adly: The Egyptian media is a shield to protect national awareness and a sword to confront campaigns of doubt and rumors

 The head of the Education Committee of the Media Syndicate, Ayman Adly, confirmed that the media is the weapon that precedes the first shots in every crisis throughout history. The media played a decisive role in shaping collective awareness, whether to serve facts or distort them.

 

Adly said – in an article in “Al-Wafd” newspaper: – “From traditional wars to intellectual battles; The media was a tool for propaganda and propaganda, and sometimes a means of emotional agitation that inflamed conflicts instead of calming them.

 

He added: “The political or economic wars would not have reached their peak; Without the role of the media in igniting its fuse on the part of hostile countries and groups, manipulating information, exaggerating events, and exploiting emotions; They are mechanisms that enable actors to create cross-border crises, and even electronic flies have become an influential player in directing discussions. Whether to ignite disagreements or to silence the voices of truth.

 

He pointed out that Egypt – while waging its battle for construction, development, achieving citizen well-being, and radical economic reform; Serves future generations and creates the future – you need a strong and professional media capable of confronting pressures and creating informed public opinion, through professional practices, intensifying awareness, and confronting rumors and fake news.

 

He continued. Strong media does not only mean confronting lies, but rather building awareness that consolidates national values ​​and promotes constructive dialogue. Professional media contributes to correcting misconceptions by presenting facts. And verifying them, in addition to confronting hostile campaigns by presenting a coherent narrative that reflects the Egyptian reality, enhancing national belonging by highlighting achievements and challenges objectively, and creating a rational discourse that distances the audience from emotional polarization and leads them towards critical thinking.
