An inspection tour by the Supreme Committee for Security and Environmental Inspection at Sphinx International Airport

The Supreme Committee for Security and Environmental Inspection, headed by Pilot Montaser Manna, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation, and members of representatives of the concerned authorities, conducted an inspection tour of Sphinx International Airport. Operational activity was monitored and the airport’s readiness to receive flights was monitored, in addition to evaluating the security and health measures applied.
The committee also followed up on the progress of passenger movement, air traffic, insurance operations, and the level of services provided within the travel and arrival halls and service areas.

The tour included an inspection of the airport walls, the passenger terminal, the travel and arrival halls (international and domestic), rest rooms, cafeterias, the duty-free area, immigration procedures, customs, catering, and the meteorological tower. Surveillance, the information center, and the security room, which includes a surveillance camera system.
The baggage belt area was also monitored and movement was checked on regularity during the travel and arrival stages, in addition to inspecting the airport gates. This comes within the framework of preparations for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the directive of the Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Sameh El-Hafny, to strengthen the follow-up of the health and environmental security situation in all Egyptian airports.
