المملكة: “Flexible education”…a plan to raise the enrollment rate in technical education to 33%

The Ministry of Education revealed a plan to raise the enrollment rate in technical education to 33% in the next academic year. The plan aims to improve educational outcomes and qualify graduates to meet the needs of the labor market for future professions.

Development plan

This is done by building new regulations and regulations, a set of guides, evaluation studies, tests and measurements, in addition to interactive courses and updated study plans.
The plan includes developing policies and legislation that enable secondary school students to transfer and bridge the general and vocational secondary education system and vice versa with complete ease.

Objectives of improving education

Through this plan, the Ministry aims to achieve a set of strategic objectives, most notably: increasing the rate of enrollment in vocational and technical education, achieving integration between general secondary and vocational education, reducing the dropout rate, aligning education outcomes with the needs of the labor market, and reducing unemployment rates.
The Ministry seeks to empower women and increase their enrollment rates in specific scientific specializations related to the labor market and jobs of the future, in addition to reducing the risk of professional exposure in some professions.
This plan is an important step within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to develop the education, technical and vocational sector, and to achieve the goals of Vision 2030, which focuses on building a diversified knowledge economy based on innovation and qualifying young national cadres to contribute to building the future of the nation.
