Davos, January 21, 2025 – The 55th session of the World Economic Forum, “Davos 2025”, which is currently being held in Davos, Switzerland and continues until January 24, holds great hopes and ambitions in light of the uncertainty witnessed by the global economy resulting from geopolitical changes and the successive crises that the world is witnessing. .
The current session of the “Davos 2025” Forum, which is held under the slogan “Cooperation for the Smart Age” and brings together heads of government, business leaders and experts from all over the world, constitutes an important platform for shaping the future of the world, especially the economic one, and discussing the most pressing issues through five main thematic priorities that include: “Rebuilding Trust”, “Investing in People”, “Reimagining Growth”, “Protecting the Planet” and “Industrials in the Smart Age”; In this context, the Forum emphasizes the importance of strengthening work between companies, governments and civil society to find common solutions and take decisive action to achieve greater impact.
The “Rebuilding Confidence” axis includes focusing on how stakeholders can find new ways of international cooperation in light of the rapid developments taking place in global trade. The World Trade Organization has confirmed that the digital economy plays a very important role in reviving trade. The value of services provided digitally has increased fourfold over the past two decades, growing at a rate of 8.2% annually, while the average growth in trade reached 5.8%.
The “Reimagining Growth” theme discusses identifying new sources of growth in light of the new global economy. According to the forum, innovation will play a central role in achieving a full global economic recovery.

The Forum confirmed that the digital economy represents more than 15.5% of global GDP and could form the basis for up to 70% of the total new value that will be created in the global economy over the next decade.
The “Investing in People” theme focuses on the importance of public and private sector cooperation in investing in the development of human capital and new jobs that contribute to the development of a modern and sustainable society. The forum points out the impact of technological developments on employment and reskilling to meet the requirements of tomorrow’s economy, which contributes to creating strong job opportunities in digital economies.
The “Protecting the Planet” theme highlights how to catalyze climate action through innovative partnerships and increased funding to deploy pioneering technologies. It emphasizes that partnerships and innovative dialogue are important for making progress in achieving global climate neutrality goals, as well as the contribution of current technology to achieving the required 66% reduction in global emissions.
The fifth axis, “Industries in the Smart Age,” focuses on how business leaders can achieve a balance between short-term goals and long-term imperatives in transforming industries. According to the forum, modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, computing, biotechnology, automation, and others offer many opportunities to support industries and make them more flexible with transformations. The Davos 2025 Forum, which includes more than 100 high-level dialogue sessions, aims to encourage dialogue and spread awareness on critical issues by providing a platform through which ideas, opinions and questions can be expressed and addressed in an open environment.

Since 2003, the Forum has been held every year in January at the Swiss Alpine School, in the heart of Davos, and attracts government officials, artists, civil society leaders, innovative entrepreneurs and CEOs of multinational companies.
