المملكة: San Francisco.. “From Riyadh to the World” showcases Saudi leadership

The American city of San Francisco witnessed the holding of the activities of the “From Riyadh to the World” initiative yesterday, Tuesday, organized by the Saudi Society of Internal Auditors, within the framework of strengthening the Kingdom’s position internationally, exchanging professional and supervisory experiences, and highlighting the innovative experiences it has achieved in this field.
The initiative included a meeting of the association’s delegation, headed by CEO Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Shubaili, with the executive management of the San Francisco Institute of Internal Auditors, in addition to a number of CEOs from Saudi government agencies and major American companies in Silicon Valley.

The event also included a review of the Kingdom’s experiences in internal auditing, most notably the distinguished experience of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, which included implementing comprehensive risk assessment exercises to develop strategic review plans, and adopting advanced review methods such as integrated auditing, risk assessment techniques, and controls. It focused on enhancing the work environment through awareness programs. Continuing and training at the local and international levels for internal audit staff.
The meeting also highlighted the role of internal audit in supporting the strategic development of Al-Balad Company (BDC), where it was reviewed providing proactive consulting services that help companies solve problems before they turn into major challenges, and using the risk assessment model to set priorities, ensure a comprehensive review cycle, and improve operational efficiency. By employing advanced software and real-time monitoring tools for operations.

Saudi leadership

The initiative also witnessed a discussion of the successes achieved by the Saudi Society of Internal Auditors in exporting Saudi professional leaders to the world, which reflects Saudi leadership in this field.
The discussion also addressed the importance of investing in modern technology in internal audit work to improve the quality of performance and ensure compliance, in addition to enabling governance and risk management teams to align efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.
The Saudi Society of Internal Auditors is among the top 10 professional associations in the world in the field of internal auditing, according to the 2024 rankings of the International Institute of Internal Auditors.
