Los Angeles fires
This lake is a popular recreational destination located about 64 kilometers from the devastating Eaton and Palisades fires, which have been burning for three weeks.
Although the area was under a “red flag” warning due to the danger of fires, the wind speed was lower than that which helped spread previous fires.
It provided firefighting aircraft with the opportunity to drop tens of thousands of gallons of fire retardant.

“The situation we face today is completely different from the situation we were in 16 days ago,” Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said in a statement Wednesday evening.
So far, no homes or other buildings have been reported burned.
