Medical insurance plan for the Cairo International Book Fair in its 56th session
The Ministry of Health and Population announced the “free” medical insurance plan and services. Introduction to the patrons of the Cairo International Book Fair in its 56th session, which is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi from January 24 to February 4, 2025, at the Egypt International Convention and Exhibition Center.
It comes This is within the framework of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, for medical insurance for major events and activities held in Egypt, in the interest of the health and safety of citizens. The participating delegations are distinguished guests of Egypt, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and the Egyptian General Book Authority.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the medical insurance plan includes 3 ambulances and 2 ambulance scooters were stationed for medical insurance around and inside the exhibition, and a self-sterilizing vehicle to transport any case suspected of being infected with any contagious respiratory disease, in accordance with the medical evacuation plan. And coordinating with hospitals to receive and deal with cases, stressing that the degree of readiness of all government hospitals surrounding the exhibition has been raised.
And “Abdul Ghaffar” continued: The medical insurance plan includes 3 mobile clinics distributed in the exhibition’s entry corridors, which include medical teams in the specialties of (surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine), in addition to services for measuring blood pressure and diabetes, within “the President of the Republic’s initiative to follow up and treat chronic diseases and early detection of kidney disease.” Providing clinics with emergency medicines, analgesics, and medical and preventive supplies, as well as publishing awareness banners at the exhibition, in addition to showing short educational video clips inside the halls. «Abdul Ghaffar» added The Ministry’s services also include the deployment of 4 awareness and community communication teams, to provide health awareness to exhibition goers and participants, the most important of which is awareness of precautionary measures for respiratory diseases during the winter, and the services of the presidential initiatives 100 Million Health, in addition to the services of the (New Beginning) initiative for human building.
And “Abdul Ghaffar” noted: To the participation of the General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment in the Cairo International Book Fair this year in a pavilion, Hall No. (2) C39, to educate citizens about mental health, and instill a culture of recovery from mental disorders and rehabilitation, under the umbrella of the presidential initiative (Your Health is Happiness), with the aim of improving… quality of life of citizens and confronting the changes occurring in societies.
There are also 4 teams to receive the public in the pavilion and answer their questions regarding mental health and definition. With the services provided by the secretariat, in addition to the services of the hotline 16328, and the electronic platform for receiving psychological consultations and inquiries.
