Ras Al Khaimah, January 26 / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority (RAKZ) recorded the joining of 13,141 new companies to its thriving business community in 2024, with a growth rate of 66% compared to the year 2023.
Through this achievement, RAKEZ has become home to about 30,000 multinational companies, which strengthens its position as a thriving global center for traders and companies seeking business excellence and strategic access to regional and global markets. During the year 2024, it witnessed growth led mainly by commercial activities. , including general trade, e-commerce, and related businesses, which together constituted 53% of the total newly registered companies.
The consulting sector came in second place, as a major contributor to the growth witnessed by RAKEZ by 24%, while other sectors emerged significantly, such as media and marketing services, wholesale trade, manufacturing, and others.
Rami Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, said that the group has been able, over the past five years, to double the number of companies joining its thriving business community, which reflects the growing position of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, as a major hub for innovation and global trade, stressing the group’s commitment to providing support, integrated services and an environmentally friendly environment. He explained that the growth achieved by RAKEZ in 2024 was characterized by the joining of entrepreneurs and companies from various parts of the world, noting that India came at the forefront of countries as the largest destination for new companies joining RAKEZ, which also witnessed a great demand from investors from Pakistan and the Kingdom. The United States, Egypt, and the Philippines, along with many other countries.
He pointed out that RAKEZ is setting its sights on strengthening the economic scene in Ras Al Khaimah, by exploring new opportunities to support the business community, focusing on anticipating market trends and enabling companies to achieve success in emerging sectors through an advanced business system and global strategic partnerships.
