The Football Association organizes the FIFA referees for the 2026 World Cup referees

Dubai, January 28/ WAM/ The Emirates Football Association will host the referees’ course nominated to manage the 2026 World Cup matches, organized by the International Federation “FIFA”, during the period from 27 to 31 January, with the participation of 32 rulers from Asia, Africa and Oceania, among them The two Emirati rulers, Adel Al -Naqbi, and Omar Al Ali.
The session started yesterday in Dubai, in the presence of Mohamed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, Secretary -General of the Football Association, Italian Berluigi Collina, Chairman of the Referees Committee in FIFA, and the Qatari Hani Blanc, Vice -Chairman of the Committee, and Swiss Massimo Busaca, Director of the Referees Administration in FIFA, in addition to a group of international federations lecturers in the sides Technical, medical, fitness, technical and technological support.
Mohamed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri welcomed the opening of the session with the lectures of the International Federation and the participating rulers, stressing that organizing this session in the UAE is a fruit of successful cooperation between the Emirati and international federations.
Al Dhaheri pointed out that the UAE has great potential to organize courses and championships, noting that this session is an important main station that precedes the nomination of rulers nominated to participate in the World Cup 2026. ”
The Secretary -General of the Football Association added: The Football Association is keen to strengthen cooperation with FIFA, and today we are on the threshold of a new and important station in preparing for this great football forum, and we strive together to achieve the desired goals in the optimal way.
The International Federation’s course will witness over five days theoretical lectures dealing with the laws of the game, discussing arbitration cases, and matters related to matches management, while practical applications will be held during the morning period, during which two matches will be held daily on the stadiums of the Football Association, managed by the participating referees, as well as providing technology The video to monitor sensitive cases, while the evening period witnesses technical and physical exercises and tests.
