He explained that the slogan of the second edition of the “Emirates thinkers” forum is derived from the vision of our wise leadership, and the numbers that confirm the continuous successes of the UAE; To proceed with the rain, and the exchange of opinions through thinkers, experts and youth; Stressing that real change only occurs through work together, and this forum is an invitation to everyone to contribute to his idea, experience and knowledge in drawing the features of the future for our dear homeland.

The activities of the second edition of the “Emirates thinkers” forum began with a session entitled “The Emirates AI strategy 2031: the future of the transport sector”, in which the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei spoke, who confirmed that the United Arab Emirates has become a major destination for international companies in The field of renewable energy; His Excellency added that the UAE is seeking in the artificial intelligence sector to invest in huge data centers to support the development of sustainable transport solutions.

He stressed that the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure focuses on reducing excessive energy consumption; Reducing carbon emissions by using electric cars, the goal is to build a clean and sustainable future cities; The ministry aims to be 50% of the means of movement by 2050, non -emissions.

In a session entitled “The Emirati Identity: The National and the Global Balance”, moderated by His Excellency Dr. Sultan Muhammad Al -Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Defense, Foreign Affairs and Interior Committee in the Federal National Council, Dr. Ali Rashid Al -Nuaimi, stressed the need to enhance the common values ​​that unite societies, such as justice, religion and heritage, confirmed It is the basis for building a coherent society, and he explained that some of the challenges facing societies may be the result of external agendas aimed at destabilizing, and may reach a security breakthrough. His Excellency said that there is a need to strengthen the role of the national role models in shaping the Emirati identity, and making it part of the general culture.

In the same session, the Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, said that the Emirati national identity is the imprint of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and demanded that His Excellency the need to focus the curricula on the national identity, Local culture, national history, and developing youth thinking skills to understand the importance of contributing to the elevation of the country and their role in achieving this.

He added that the national service in the state has contributed to the preparation of a generation that has responsibility towards its homeland, and is able to face challenges in a sincere national spirit, noting that the family has a fundamental role in consolidating the national identity by teaching its children the love of the homeland and respecting its symbols and dedication to its service.

In a session entitled “Youth: Continuing Education and the Labor Market”, moderated by Dr. Sultan Muhammad Al -Nuaimi, the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdul Rahman Al -Awar, stressed that the basic responsibility of continuous learning lies with the individual himself; It is a culture that must be established from the early stages of life; Through the efforts of the family and the school; Where their role is integrated with the individual’s responsibility to achieve this goal.

He said that higher education institutions should adopt a flexible approach to keeping pace with the variables; Despite the importance of the academic certificate as a basic framework; It must be combined with educational fields other than scientific disciplines; What paves the way towards promoting continuous education, and His Excellency added that the labor market in the United Arab Emirates has witnessed remarkable growth in the recent period, supported by positive developments in the private sector, attributed to government policies supporting the business environment, such as enhancing the flexibility of the labor market and investment in human capital .

In the same session, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr. Sultan Al -Neyadi, said that tomorrow’s youth should enjoy three qualities: digital skills; Due to its importance in the labor market, along with analytical capabilities and critical thinking to deal with the continuous flow of information; As well as basic social skills, such as emotional intelligence, and others; To develop in the changing environment; And keep pace with its requirements.

He stressed that one of the most prominent challenges facing new graduates is the availability of experience; But the focus should be on the skills of the individual instead of the number of years of experience. It is necessary for employment to give priority to personal skills when assessing competencies.

It is worth noting that the basic axes of the second version of the “Emirates thinkers” forum revolved around three issues, namely: the Emirati national identity, education, community development, artificial intelligence and future technology. 45 Emirati speakers, experts, academics, youth and specialists in various vital fields, and witnessed the presence of more than 650 participants, officials and specialists.
