"Lockheed Martin" 56 trainees were honored during the third annual graduation ceremony of the Innovation Center in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, January 30/ WAM/ Lockheed Martin celebrated the achievements of 56 trainees from the Emirates, during the third annual graduation celebration of the internal training program at the Innovation and Security Solutions Center of the company. The celebration, which was held today at the Marriott Al Fursan Hotel – Abu Dhabi, honored 15 graduates of previous payments, in confirmation of the company’s commitment to promoting education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and the development of human cadres in the UAE.
The celebration hosted the first retired team in the American army, CEO of Lockheed Martin in the Middle East John Nicholson, Director of the Innovation Center and Security Solutions and Al -Zarqani Hala, along with a group of prominent personalities, business leaders, academics and diplomats, where the attendees are known for the nature of the program and its projects, then followed by that Distributing certificates to graduates.
John Nicholson, CEO of Lockheed Martin in the Middle East, said: “The development of human cadres is a basic step to build a knowledge -based economy in the UAE. Therefore, through our training program that aims to enhance education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, we are keen to provide The next generation with the skills needed to advance the limits of innovation and ensure sustainable economic growth, and to play an active role in the space and defense sectors.
Since its launch in the year 2017 with the participation of only four students, the internal training program at the Innovation and Security Solutions Center witnessed a remarkable development and has become an ongoing initiative throughout the year, in response to the increasing demand for participation in it. The celebration reflects the size of the expansion, as students who completed internal training are honored during the spring, summer and autumn sessions of 2024. The innovative projects developed by graduates in this batch were also highlighted, knowing that Emirati citizens formed 55% of the percentage of participants this year, including 37 % Of women.
In turn, Hala Al -Zarqani, director of the Center for Innovation and Security Solutions of Lockheed, said: “Our graduates have shown an exceptional ingenuity and technical experience. Their work on concrete practical projects contributes to preparing them and qualifying them for excellence in the vital sectors that establish the foundations of the future, and encourages them to think in an innovative way and develops Skills of solving problems that will have a decisive role in dealing with challenges and overcoming them.
The Innovation and Security Solutions Center program provides practical experience in advanced areas, including artificial intelligence to automate the identification of strange bodies in critical environments, modeling and simulation associated with advanced defense systems, and applying space exploration initiatives. The development of the program reflects a continuous program throughout the year, Lockheed Martin’s commitment to strengthening resettlement and creating a creative local workforce, as it is expected that the company will double its training capabilities in the coming years.
