Two new championships in the 12th edition of Nad Al -Sheba course

The Supreme Organizing Committee for the Nad Al -Sheba Sports session adopted the 12th edition competitions program of the session launched and sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and it is held annually in Nad Al -Sheba Sports Complex, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
The program of the 12th edition of the largest session of its kind, which is the most important community sporting event during the holy month of Ramadan at the region level, includes 11 sport: volleyball, Al -Badel, Jogitsu, Fencing, Basketball with wheelchairs, running racing, bicycle race, tightening The rope, challenging the barriers, as well as the two newly -added championships, are flying feather, shooting and running (Las Qir Ren).
The course aims to provide a comprehensive sports platform that brings together athletes in various sports, including those with determination and various segments of society, to allow them to practice sports during the holy month of Ramadan in a distinct competitive atmosphere that enhances the spirit of interaction and positivity, and is devoted to the concept of sport as a way of life.
The director of the course, Hassan Al Mazrouei, said that «the course has contributed over the past 11 versions, has contributed to the development of many sports and highlighting them in the media, as it presented various championships that affected the sports sector and contributed to the consolidation of a different sports position on the sports scene and sports championships followed by the fans from inside and outside The state through sports competitions with exceptional levels with the participation of a group of international athletes and classified among the best in the world.
He added: «The increase in the number of sports and attracting more amateurs and professionals to participate in the course competitions reflects the leadership of the event and its growing role in supporting the sports sector and strengthening the Dubai sports community. This is also confirmed by the great annual growth in the number of events and participants, as previous courses witnessed the participation of more than 51 thousand athletes of amateurs and professionals from inside and outside the country, competing in 88 championships that included various sports.
He said: «We are pleased in the 12th edition of the session to raise the number of sports to 11 sport, including a group of distinguished Olympic and mass sports, and the committee is also keen to add Olympic games with international participation, which gives the players a valuable opportunity to contact international competitors and gain new experiences. We will soon invite the athletes and the teams to participate in the competition competitions, with the announcement of the details of the registration and the participation mechanisms during the next few days.
