"BCG" International: 40% is an increase in artificial intelligence professionals in the Emirates since 2022

Dubai, February 5 / WAM / Dr. Akram Awad, the administrative director and partner in the Boston International Consulting Group “BCG”, confirmed that the UAE has become a strong competing countries in the field of artificial intelligence, after it established an advanced digital infrastructure, and has developed a supportive legislative and investment environment.
He said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the second day of the “AI World” event in Expo Dubai: The UAE has succeeded in establishing a solid base that can be built on during the coming years, not only to enhance its pioneering position, but to turn into a leadership country on The global level through the export of technology and building a wide base of artificial intelligence competencies through which local, regional and global needs can be served.
He added that the UAE is today one of the most attractive countries for and preserving talents specialized in artificial intelligence.
He said, “The number of specialists in this field witnessed an increase of about 40% since 2022, and this increase is exceptional compared to other countries that compete in this field, especially in light of global competition for digital competencies.”
He explained that the UAE succeeded in attracting these minds through a group of factors, most notably the provision of distinguished job opportunities, high quality of life, and a flexible environment that allows talents creativity and innovation.
He added that these factors are not only enhanced by the state’s position as a global center for artificial intelligence, but also qualifies them in the future to attract competencies in other areas such as quantitative computing.
He pointed out that some countries of the region, especially the UAE and Saudi Arabia, are occupying a position today that qualifies them to join the “adult club” in the field of artificial intelligence.
He touched on a recent study conducted by the Boston Consulting Group, which included 70 countries, which showed that the UAE falls into the list of countries that have developed a strong competitive structure in the field of artificial intelligence.
He also pointed out that the UAE is working on developing its infrastructure in the field of advanced computing, which today has become one of the main competitive areas between the major countries.
Dr. Awad stressed that the data is “the fuel of the digital age”, noting that the UAE was one of the world leading countries in digital transformation, which reflected positively on the development of artificial intelligence techniques.
He added that the UAE succeeded in building an integrated system for data management, which includes the participation of information between government agencies and various sectors, in addition to enhancing societal awareness of the importance of data in decision -making at the strategic and operational levels.
