Cairo Book Fair .. A wide praise of the Kingdom’s wing and activities
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority concluded the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Cairo International Book Fair 2025, which was held in the Egyptian capital during the period from January 23 to February 5.
This comes amid a wide acclaim from the participants and visitors, with the authority’s rich initiatives and content that reflects the great development witnessed by the literary and cultural scene in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Visitors and publishers interact
The Kingdom’s pavilion, which led the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority its participation in the exhibition, achieved great success, whether in the volume of turnout, or the keenness of visitors to attend events and participate in accompanying cultural activities.
Through the Kingdom’s pavilion, the authority reviewed many of its programs and initiatives aimed at developing the publishing and translation industry in the Kingdom, as the pavilion witnessed a remarkable interaction from publishers and international literary agencies.
During the exhibition, the commission also presented a set of cultural events and dialogue seminars that dealt with the Saudi cultural scene and its intersections with its Egyptian counterpart.
Raising awareness of the Saudi cultural heritage
The CEO of the Authority, Dr. Abdullatif Al -Wasel, stressed that the authority’s participation in the Cairo International Book Fair comes within the framework of continuous efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s presence on the regional and international cultural and literary scene, raise awareness of the Saudi cultural heritage, and emphasize the leadership role of the Kingdom in the regional and global cultural scene.
He explained that participation in the exhibition achieved its strategic goals of promoting international cultural exchange, highlighting the Saudi literary movement, and supporting Saudi authors in reaching an international audience.
He pointed out that this participation comes within its continuous efforts to consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a global cultural destination.

10 government agencies
The Kingdom’s participation at the Cairo International Book Fair 2025 came, led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, and with the participation of 10 government agencies that include the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, King Salman International Complex for Arabic, the Saudi Cultural Attaché in the Arab Republic of Egypt, King Abdulaziz Public Library, and King Fahd Library Al -Wataniya, Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University, Prince Sattam University, Tabuk University, Hafar Al -Batin University, and the Publishing Association.
The Cairo Book Fair 2025 is a leading international platform that brings together the most prominent book makers and thinkers from all over the world.
The Kingdom’s participation in this event contributed to strengthening its cultural presence at the international level, and opening new horizons to introduce Saudi culture regionally and globally.
