Honoring Atiyat Al -Abnudi and Nabiha Lotfy in “Ismailia for Decorative Films”
From within the Ismailia Culture Palace, the activities of the 26th session of the Ismailia Festival for Documentary and Short Films headed by the director Hala Jalal, which bears the name of the great director Ali Al -Ghazouli, and its activities continue until the eleventh of February, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Ismailia Governorate. About 51 films from 34 countries, including Belgium, China, Algeria, France, Jordan, Germany, Palestine, Romania, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Lebanon, Russia, will participate in the session, including the main competitions of the festival. In the long documentary film competition, 10 films participate, and in the short film competition, 24 films participate, while the new stars competition shares 17 films, along with films shown outside the competition, and the short film & laquo; Thuraya – the girl who loved eternity & laquo; Director Ahmed Badr Karam, to be the opening movie the 26th session. The festival honors this year a group of prominent stars in the field of documentary cinema, including the director Farouk Abdel -Khaleq, the director of photography Maher Rady, the director Tahani Rashid, the director Nabiha Lotfy, the director Atiyat Al -Abnudi, Samir Auf, Jean -Marie Tino and Russia Kfiman.
