Archive, King Hamad Digital Library and Royal Archive Center sign a memorandum of understanding

Abu Dhabi, February 10 / WAM / The archive, the National Library, the King Hamad Digital Library and the Royal Archive Center in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at consolidating the bonds of cooperation and exchanging experiences in areas of common concern, ways to preserve the joint cultural and historical heritage, and exchange documents of one of the parties Or to both, and participate in the activities and events that contribute to enriching the cultural movement and upgrading the fields of archiving and documentation.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Archives and the National Library in Abu Dhabi, as it was signed by the Director General of Archive and the National Library His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, and His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Ali Al -Nuaimi, Minister of Public Affairs of the Royal Court.
His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali stressed the importance of cooperation between the archive, the national library, the King Hamad Digital Library and the Royal Archive Center, and that he has existing since the founding of the Royal Archive in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, and that the signing of this memorandum today comes in order to enhance the bridges of cooperation between the two sides for their common interest in collecting cultural heritage and the memory of the country And preserving and making them available, and realizing the two sides of the importance of historical documents in terms of civilized progress.

The provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding included the agreement of the two parties to training in the areas of preserving documentary heritage and its enhancement, providing consultations in the field of organizing historical documents and analyzing them and enhancing their availability in accordance with the best international specifications and standards, restoring manuscripts, books and documents, memorizing audio and video recordings, exchanging visits between the two parties, participating in seminars and courses And workshops, conferences and exhibitions in the fields of archiving, and memorizing documents and digital libraries, and others.
